Fast Charging Technology – What is it? – Basic Bhai

আমার ফোন Fast Charging Supported না । কিন্তু আমি যদি একটি Fast Charger আমার ফোনে সংযুক্ত করে দিই তাহলে  কি আমার ফোন তারাতারি Charge হবে? এই প্রশ্নের উওর নিয়ে আজকে বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করবো। 

ফাস্ট চার্জার –  নাম দেখেই আপনার মনে হতে পারে, যেই Charger Smartphone-কে তাড়াতাড়ি Charge করে দেয় তাকেই Fast Charger বলে। কিন্তু না, এখানে অনেক জানার বিষয় রয়েছে । Company গুলো Fast Charger-কে বিভিন্ন নাম দিয়েছে, কেউ বলে Adaptive Fast Charger, কেউ বলে Quick Charge, আবার কেউ বলে Vooc Fast Charger এরকম আরো অনেক নাম রয়েছে। এই নাম গুলো দিয়ে ওরা কি বোঝাতে চায়? Fast Charger মুলত কী? আজকে এই ধরনের Basic কিছু প্রশ্নের উওর দিব। 

তাড়াতাড়ি Charge করার বিষয়টা শুরু হয় ২০১৩ সাল থেকে। Qualcomm তাদের একটি নতুন Technology তৈরি করে যার নাম দেয় “Qualcomm Quick Charge”  এবং এটা ছিল 10W এর একটি Charger । এর আগের Charger গুলো ছিল 5W এর বা তার কাছাকাছি। কিন্তু এটা যখন 10W এ চলে আসলো তখন ফোনগুলোতে আরো দ্রুত Charge হওয়া শুরু করলো। আর তখন থেকেই শুরু হয় এই Fast Charging-এর কাহিনী।  আপনারা যখন একটি Charger দেখবেন তখন খেয়াল করবেন Charger-এর বডিতে লেখা থাকে Volts~mAh. অনেক Charger-এ লেখা থাকে 5-Volts 1mAh বা 2mAh বা আরো বেশি। শুরুতেই দেয়া থাকে Volts যেমনঃ 5-Volt এর পরে “amp” এর মানে Max Current output. এখন এই দুইটাকে গুন দিলে আপনার Charger কতো Watt সেটা বের হয়ে যাবে।  

মনে করুন, একটি Charger এ লিখা আছে 5V ~ 2A তা মানে 5V x 2A = 10Watt। এভাবে জেনে গেলেন যে এটা 10W এর Charger বা এমনও হতে পারে 9V x 2A =  18W. সুতরাং এটি 18W Charger। আর এই Watt (ওয়াট) যত বেশি হয় Charge Speed তত বেশি হয়। 

18W এর একটি Charger যেকোন ফোনে  কাজ করবে কিনা?

না, কাজ করবে না। কারণ যেই ফোনকে Fast Charger দিয়ে Charge করাবেন সেই ফোনেরও 18W নেয়ার মত Capacity থাকতে হবে। ফোনের মধ্যে যে circuitry এবং Battery থাকে সেগুলোর এই Power নেয়ার মত Ability থাকতে হবে। সুতরাং যেই ফোনটি Fast Charging Supported না সেই ফোনে Fast Charger লাগালেও কাজ করবে না। 

এখন আপনার প্রশ্ন হতে পারে, যেই ফোনটি Fast Charging Supported না, সেই ফোনে আপনি যদি Fast Charger লাগিয়ে দেন তাহলে ফোনের কোন ক্ষতি হবে কি না?

বেশিরভাগ সময় সমস্যা হয় না, কারণ ফোনগুলোতে সেরকম প্রোটেকশান দেওয়া থাকে। যেই প্রোটেকশন Technology এর মাধ্যমে ফোন চার্জারের সাথে যোগাযোগ করে। Charger ফোনকে বলে আমি 18W দিতে পারবো তোমার লাগবে?  ফোন বলে না! এতো লাগবে না। আমি 10W পর্যন্ত নিতে পারবো। তখন Charger বলে ঠিক আছে 10W নাও। সুতরাং দুজনের মধ্যে এমন একটা Communication যখন হয় তখন আর সমস্যা হয় না। কারণ ফোনে তখন 18W যায় না। ফোন যেটা নিতে পারবে সেটাই Charger দিবে এবং ফোন সেটাই নিবে। 

সকল Mobile Company বলে দেয় ফোনের সাথে যে Charger থাকে সেটাই ব্যবহার করার জন্য। সেটাই ব্যবহার করা Better হবে। আর মাঝে মাঝে আমরা যে ব্যাটারি Blast হওয়ার ঘটনা দেখি নএগুলো হওয়ার কারণ হতে পারে নষ্ট চার্জার কিংবা নষ্ট ব্যাটারির কারনে। তবে এগুলো খুব কম সময় হয়।   

এক একটা Company একই Charger-কে বিভিন্ন নামে  ডাকে কেন?

Technology Same কিন্তু Qualcomm যেহেতু শুরুতে এটাকে  “Quick Charge” নামে Branding করেছে তাই অন্যরা একই নামে আর ডাকে না। Qualcomm ডাকে Quick Charge-1, 2, 3, 4 ইত্যাদি নামে। আর Qualcomm যেহেতু এই নামেই ব্র্যান্ডিং করেছে, তাই অন্য Company গুলো Fast Charger-কে ভিন্ন ভিন্ন নামে ডাকে।  মূলত Charger একই। কিন্তু কম্পানি গুলো Charger-কে আলাদা নামে নামকরণ করেছে।
